External envelope works including rebuilding the stone aedicule over the main entrance.

A temporary access route was arranged to provide for safe working.

The stone aedicule was unstable and was dismantled and removed to ground level to repair the stones.

At roof level structural repairs were carried out to stabilise the support for the aedicule.

Components were then lifted back up to roof level and reassembled in position.

These works required purpose designed scaffolding, street closures/traffic management and weekend working.

The external sliding sash windows were upgraded as part of an SEAI energy conservation grant.

Windows were removed and the works carried out off site at our workshop.

Scope of works included stripping the windows, replacing ironmongery and pulley systems, reglazing in heritage slim double glazed units and repainted.

The windows were refitted and rebalanced due to the weight changes.

The works were carried out on a phased basis while academic classes continued as normal.
